On May 31st, a gorgeous Full Moon rose over Uludag Mountain in
Bursa Province, Turkey. It was, however, the second full moon of
May - also known as a "Blue Moon" - an unusual event, and indeed -
some countries (eg New Zealand) missed out on one by only a few
hours. Jupiter is also visible rising on the left above the small
peak.
The subject matter of Rickey Bird and Jason Sanders' short film
would seem to be the perfect prelude to a cease and desist letter
from either D.C. Comics or Warner Bros.
Members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have sued Showtime Networks
and others over the new television show called "Californication,"
the same name used by the band for their Grammy-nominated 1999
album.
Thanksgiving is a dicey day to write a column called Get Out! Get
Fit! Last year, I mentioned the typical calorie count for the day
and how much exercise it would take to burn those; hate mail
